how should she clean them?
they were not prescription.

I'd leave them in the toilet and buy new ones. I usually spend close to $1,000 per year on sunglasses because of crap like that. I've had the same pair of Arnettes for a while now, but hate looking like a cop in them.

soak them in really hot water and rubbing alcohol and wash it off with some dish washing soap

Wash them in soap & hot water.

Then put them in a zip lock and cover with alcohol. Leave over night.

Take out.

Wear.

id personally just dunk n leave them in a solution of methylated spirits that doesnt have the purple dye in it - its basically 90% ethanol 10% something else to stop people drinking it - even a couple of minutes will do. everything dies. ethanol is what we use to clean sterile rooms for preparing total parentaral nutrition or drugs for people who have no immune system, and thus, is pretty awesome
