walking to the bathroom makes me breath heavy
wtf is wrong with me?
seriously, if that is possible, is that a symptom of bronchitis?

can't even begin to think about nibbling on some chronic
i hurt so bad
:(

Yeah dood... pnuemonia...

Go get a chest xray...

If you are that out of breath just walking - that's no chest cold....

Are you coughing up any green or yellow crap? Running a fever? Typically, pneumonia will present with those where as bronchitis won't. Either way, you should get checked out by your doc.

Well I guess you can't do shit about it tonight huh?

Lay down with a heat compress on your chest. This may help. Or it may not. Just try it.

Or boil some water with lemon, and put a towel over your head over the steam.

Def go to the docs. Not a good sign that you cannot breath..
Try standing in your bathroom and run the shower so that the room gets all steamy. Breath that in for a bit. You may end up coughing your ass off but that is a good thing...Also I know it sounds stupid but drink some tea!
On tuesday go to the docs. If it gets worse before then go to the er. U may need a breathing treatment before tuesday depending on your o2 level.

from "ferris behuler's day off"?

1) Go to the Dr.

2) if you can't get there tonite, get one of those Vick's Vapor things for the shower & use that.....may help you feel better.....

You need a nebulizer friend. Possible Pneumonia, Possible Bronchitis, Possible alot of different things.

http://www.semedicalsupply.com/nebulizers.htm or create your own.

Run very hot water in the sink, you can add the vick's stuff and put your face in the dense steam and take very deep breaths. Do it for a couple of minutes, then go breathe cooler air, maybe go outside for a couple of minutes. Repeat a couple of times.

Should help.

I have had bronchitis atleast a half dozen times, the symtoms are a non productive cough, with a burning sensation in the bronchi. I highly reccomend you get your hand on some zithromax, inhaler, and a expectorant.

i got a asthma inhaler that my gf gave to me
it's not perscribed for me but it works, gives me back my wind
think that's a bad idea, using someone else's meds?

hey paradox, define a burning sensation in bronchi
would that be deep in my lungs?
i have the unproductive cough, nothing comes up though i can feel it rattle in my chest

Have you doc call in a script for a z-pack. Its 5 days course of zithromax it will kill your infection in no time. If you can feel fluid and wheezing in your chest then you may have pneumoni which a x-ray will tell by seeing fluid in your lungs. Zithromax will knock out both of them.

It basically feels like your entire chest is on fire, and any type of coughing is painful.

could it be anything less than pneumonia or bronchitis?
surely it could just be a chest cold, no?
i have a inert fear of doctors and i hate going.
it's only been 3 days of this, hasn't gotten worse, hasn't gotten better

SEE YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

You may have pneumonia, heart trouble causing your shortness of breath (heart attacks during viral URI's are common), or it could be reactive airway disease (a milder form of asthma) that may be causing it.

If it's RAD, then some albuterol will definitely help you.

I'm not sure how old you are, but if you're >30 you definitely need to be screened for an MI (heart attack) or CHF. CHF from myocarditis can occur and can have deadly consequences if not promptly addressed. It is usually caused by a virus, hence the reason why you should be evaluated.

Bronchitis should never make you short of breath!

See maybe if you can just have your doc call in the script with haveing to go in, thats what mine always did, tell him you have bronchitis. I highly doubt its anything less then bronchitis from what you described.

I'm 28
and i'm using a pro-air inhaler, main ingredient is albuterol
i'm allergic to cats and currently in a cat environment, so i wonder if my wheezing is correlated with my cat allergies...never got this bad in the past
and i was away from cats for 24 hours and still no relief
fugg, heartattack at 28? that would suck

Before ephedrine was used as dietary supplement its original intent was to be used as central nervous system stimulant used to treat breathing problems (as a bronchodilator) and nasal congestion (as a decongestant).

Any sinus symptoms? If there are I know something that will help a lot? I have a mild cough and burning sinuses right now, but I've found something to keep it at bay and keep it from spreading to my body.

you'll be alright bro, sounds like allergies, if it is persistant for a week see a doctor.

wow, bino MUST be feeling bad....he hasn't retored with an immature, homophobic dumb-ass reply to me yet.

I have responded to a medical call for a heart attack in a 20 years old male. :(

Kid just got back from soccer practice.

The youngest I've seen was a 16-year-old who was high on meth and crack. The youngest MI I've seen not caused by drug abuse was 19.

It's rare for young people to have MI's without a strong family history.

For someone with viral symptoms and younger age, I would worry more about myocarditis or pericarditis. Of course, there are a lot of things on a differential for dyspnea associated with a URI. That's why it's important to see a healthcare provider to have a physical exam. A simple lung exam with a stethoscope may reveal a lot.
