As a Canadian citizen i cannot stand the thought that someone we let into this country had anything to do with this Hi-jacking. We need to halt the immigration from that sector of the world...also we need to deport any of Bin-ladens sympathisors. Just as a nice piece of information we are letting 250 000 more immigrants in. What is this country doing? In my eyes we are running it into the ground....great country my ass....mabe just for immigrants not for citizens.

E2 if you do in fact live in a major Canadian city as I have for 19 of my 24 years can you honestly tell me that these views regarding our countries policies on allowing immigrants have helped this country..that is absolute bullshit...I lived most of my life in Edmonton which has a very high Arabic population....I'm sorry I don't veiw these people as an asset to our country...and I've held these views long before such tragedy occured...and I'm sure people in Vancouver and Toronto share my feelings...I don't think the "melting pot" makes us stronger as a nation

Actually the US has always been called a "melting pot" as is inscribed in latin on their money. The term means that you get all these different cultures but they form one, the "US culture". This is not Canada's attitude. Here everyone does their own shit, hence we dont have anywhere near the patriotism as the US does. I've lived in both countries and this is definitely true.
