I hate Blockbuster video with a passion

They opened up a few stores in my small town and quickly drove the small independent renters out of business. Now there's nowhere to rent obscure movies. Blockbuster seems to only want to rent the new releases from the major studios. Now if I want to see some movies I have to buy the DVD from Amazon.com or at the mall. There's also nowhere to rent porn!

Good and fast service. All DVDs you want and no late fees! Keep 'em as long as you want.

Price is kinda stingy but think about it. To rent a movie is like one dollar and 20 cents something, right? However, nobody really returns it right away before it is charged with late fee and that will hurt you.

My town is fuckin small and we have 2. They are maybe 2 miles apart from each other and their prices are alot more than any other video store. What sucks is that I once rented a DVD from one and by accident returned it to the other thinking that its like U-haul where you can drop it off at any place. They lost the dvd and I ended up having to pay for the dvd (it was their fault) on top of fuckin late fee's.

Also, if it is one hour late they hit you with a late fee that is as much as the rental itself. FUCK THEM

In SoCal the only thing that is keeping the small Mom & Pop places open and in business is the porn rentals. Hollywood Video and Blockbuster SUCK - Hollywood's inventory system blows chunks as well. They were forever losing movies within the store and saying we never returned them - then a few weeks later they would say "Oh, when we did a whole store inventory sweep we found them".

If I were 21 and had about $10,000.00 to blow - opening a video store that carried tons of porn would be my quest.

You can always buy porn DVD's for $9.99 - $12.99 at a bunch of sites. For the more popular titles - no more than $14.99.

over here the only non-franchise video stores are porn or ethnic movies

blockbuster does softocre from what i remeber last time i went......who wants to be an erotic millionare was one of the titles

You could always order the porn pay per views if you cable system offers them. There is a $30.00 a month pay channel that shows semi hard core - penetration, cum shots, threesomes - but nothing "too" hard [orgies, bukkake etc].

That's an option if you can't find porn in your area.

Blockbuster: $4.26 for 2 nights, due by NOON (not midnight anymore... wtf!?!!) on the due date.

Hollywood Video: $2 for 5 nights ($3 for new releases) due by midnight. I wouldn't rent from Blockbuster even if it were the only place that had the movie I wanted.

OK, here in Owensboro, Hollywood and Blockbuster had the dumbest pricing program. Both offer 5 nights for everything for $3 and change. However, BOTH of them come out to be $4.02 with tax. Why the fuck can't they just lower their price $.02 to avoid the damn change hassle. Dumb son of a bitches make me not want to rent a damn thing just because they annoy the hell out of me! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Its a way of raising prices but not really. Plus it gets people to add on some extra late fees to their account. White castle cuts costs/increases profit by putting less meat in their burgers..They just add some more ground bread crumbs and shit to their food. I think thats why it's the only place that gives me the shits.
