That certainly came as an unexpected move. They said they appreciate my work and they believe I have enough experience and dedication to the job to be able to become a manager :)

Wow. ok. No comment. Must you answer every question with a fucked up rude comment. Do you ever have anything nice to say about someone or is it that you haven't been raised properly or abused as a child, you know, hugged too much or too little, last picked to join a team, beaten by a drunk uncle....is that the case? becuase you always seem to have so much anger inside you. Like that stupid comment that you just made. Does the fact the I'm happy about my promotion get you down or cause you pain. If you wanna talk about your life and your miseries, I'll give you my shoulder to cry on.

Kudos to you. Management isn't easy as I am sure you know. Lotta whiners and slackers to contend with, then there are the negative nancies that get off on creating drama.

You seem like a level-headed kinda guy. Good for you on the promotion! Did they offer you better compensation for your increased responsibilities?

In the AV and IT industry, you got a bunch of knw-everything nerds and business people. So you gotta know your shit really well. Don't think my good looks will save my ass if I dnt know my shit like the back of my hand.

Darlin, sales is sales is sales is sales. Regardless of what you are selling or who you are selling to the basic rules of sales remain unchanged.

I am thinkin they would not have promoted you to the position if you didn't know yer shit. :)

What I am telling you is that during the course of the sale you will come across many different types while you and your product remain the same. You will be far more effective if you learn how to become a chameleon, get into THEIR HEADS and let them tell you how they want you to sell them.

Trust me, I learned from the best.

Knowing your shit only establishes value (which is KEY), but making the sale... there is a bit more to it. :heart:

Remember, focus more on what your potential client is buying rather than what you are selling.

You already have faith in your product, or you wouldn't be with your company (I suspect you are conscientious like that).

You already know your shit, but believe it or not, someone who is less technically knowledgeable could work around that and sell like there is no tomorrow. ;)

It is all about using your ears much more than your mouth.

You will do fine either way, I am sure. :heart:
