Prof starts a piece about steroids (the medical word... so not just anabolic steroids) and he asks perhaps we have a weightlifter here?

I raise my hand and say I do a bit of that.

He says "I'm not talking about lifting beer to your mouth here"

God damnit!

Not even justified. I was completely dressed up, its cold here now, was wearing lots of clothing, and I was sitting like 50 feet from him. There's no way he could even see what I look like.

I'm going to kid myself and assume it was a meant as an insult to the class as a whole.

He was just trying to be the "cool" professor. Most of my freshman professors always tried to either talk about beer or throw in a lot of curse words to try and appear cool to all the students.
