I Fuckin Hate Off Days!!

I simply hate not being in the gym, especially when "on". I am carefull not to overtrain, but I feel like I've got more in the tank to expend. I hear all this talk about not overtraining, but I'm curious as to how many hours the big boys put in? I've been basically getting in 4 days a week, as follows:

#1 - chest/bi
#2 - legs
#3 - shoulders/tris
#4 - back/traps

with off days in between consisting of some stretching exercises and ab work. I'm going to change this to running those 4 days consequtively then take a day off and repeat, thus increasing the frequency a bit. does anyone think this is overtraining?

I'm presently on my second cycle, primo/dbol.

OK, I started this as not to over train, and also when I hit age 35, I'm now 44. Anyway I know several pro's that train this way. I do 1 bodypart a day. And I blast that bodypart hard.
1. Chest 20 sets
2. back 20 sets
3. Triceps 15-18 sets + abs
4. Hams 20 sets
5. Biceps 15-18 sets + calves
6. Quads 20-25 sets
7. Delt/shoulders 15 sets (I have great gene's here) so only 15.
I use this method for all my precontest also!
Each body part gets trained hard and recovers well. This has worked great, I like it cause I can really concentrate on blasted that "ONE" bodypart, and not worrying about having something left over for that added bodypart. IE Chest+Shoulder/ or Back+Biceps example, After doing back I never can get that quality arm workout.
So if you are the kind of guy who can't stay away from the gym, there you go! Try It! A

thanks guys for the responses.
Adrenalined, I like the routine you oultined. It's someting I could see myself trying in the future. I'm going to up my routine to 4 on 1 off and that should give me the increase in frequency i'm looking for. If this doesn't work I'll go to a routing similar to the one you suggested.

You got it bubba! I think you will be hooked once you try it- everyone I know that has had problems in recovery, or aging, or likes to train everyday, has really dug this method. I am getting ready for Quads 20+ sets! Oh YEAH! lol
Glad I could help- A
