watching tv today i realized what i want to do after my son goes to school as far as jobs go.....
was watching judge hatchett-there was a girl on who was 3 months pregnant and addicted to crystal meth...well they sent her to see babies who are in icu type rooms because of their withdrawel symtoms from the mothers using while being pregnant......
i have wanted to deliver babies but now i want to work with the babies who are in withdrawel, might be a challenge cause i would want to kill the mothers but i want to do this....

me too....there was one baby that was addicted to heroin to the point where it could not breath on its own....they had to feed it caffeine through out the day......sad but i wanna help

i know that it is very sad but i look at my baby and i cannot image how some one could do that to a baby....i would like to work there and help those babies have a life that they deserve instead of suffering with the issues that some have

i know this.....lol
my plan is too get my r.n license
then take a few pediatric courses
then get familiar with the drugs and side affects maybe take some drug/alcohol courses
then go to work for a hospital that has a special unit

i have looked into a few schools..i want to take a majority of my classes over the internet and then do my clinical in a area hospital...i have 3 years and the nursing program will take me 2 so i plan on doing it soon cause i need my pre reqs and my basic studies such as math and sciences

lol.....theres not a whole lot you can do for the newborn crack babies addiction.You can treat them for other medical things but the addiction just has to go away on its own.
