LI = 2 of the the wealthiest counties in the country, sophisticated people, culture, best educated population, etc etc. In short, the place where the highest earners in NYC would live.

My experience on LI is that the streets were a rude place to be. Go into the shops however and be treated very well.

I truly HATE the subways during rush hour. Torture for a country boy.
