I DID IT! After 5 months, I did it!!!

I finally got my pilot's license today!!! I had 46 hours going into the checkride, and I was pretty prepared for this puppy. The examiner was extremely fair, and not a douche at all--probably the nicest examiner i will ever have the pleasure of meeting. We were joking and haveing a great but safe flight the whole time. I performed all of my manuvers to satisfactory standards, and everything went fine. He almost let me off too easy ( I think he actually did), but I assume that he knows that I am safe and confident, and as a Private Pilot, that was good enough for him.
So thanks everyone for the help you gave a while back when I was researching this!

What kind of plane do you fly?
 
Cessna 172R model. That is what I train in. For luxury, i go up in an '01 R model which has color gps, leather seats, and all the bells and whistles.

It only took me so long, because of getting bent over by my original flight school and then school started back.

how did you get bent over by the original?

do you have your own plane? rent one?

im not familar with the fitness slangs, what does alter mean? ever since friends got cancelled ive been in the gym 24/7, so i figured i'd join the best site around!

maybe you should sit down and have a coffee with him and discuss your differences! often disagreements can be settled in a civil way!

Well, this is my private pilot certificate which means that i cannot legally be payed for hire as for regulations. I do however intend to get my instrument rating and then my commercial rating. I'm still in college now, so I'm probably going to wait on that because I want to fly in the military, and they would pay for all of that, so I will see how that will work out.

CONGRATS BRO... I was going to take my check ride on 17dec(remember that date?) but weather was bad so i had to wait 3 days to get it. that was back in 1996. where do u fly out of? you still looking to fly in the Corps? U find the info you were looking for?
 
Congrats man!! Big accomplishment. I have always wanted to fly a plane. Set your mind to it and soon you will be flying them big ass jumbo jets.

I fly out of KGTR which is right outside of Columbus AFB, MS's airspace. I mean i almost got nailed by a T-37 on my checkride as I was calling Columbus Approach for Radar Services! Yes, I'm still leaning towards flying in the Corp. I found some info, but I just need to find out how to get up with my state's OSO. I did apply for info on their website though, but I am sure that will be all enlisted stuff.
