TAKE 5 MONTHS OFF!!!!! i finally went back to the gym today and HOLY SHIT!!! how things drop after taking 5 months off. msboss is back and ready to start pounding the iron again. its been 6 weeks since we had our little boy and by the way the doc said that he has "high testostorone levels!!" anyway it felt good to be back but what a drop in strength but im sure it will all come back....lol.;)
 
I took most of the year off until school started because I couldnt afford to go anywhere but my college gym,when I stopped I was deadlifting 170 for 1,ive been back for 2.5 weeks and I pulled 205 for one on thursday, the rest sure helped
 
IMB, you are only deadlifting 205? How big are you? or were you injured? Even my skinny 165lb ass was deadlifting 275 before I got hurt.
not trying to flame bro, just curious because I thought i was very weak in that particular lift.

I get very depressed when I take any time off. I do not know how you guys can do it. I am traveling for the next two weeks and I am all stressed out how I am going to find a gym in Europe.
 
Congrats Boss and give the little boss my regards. Take your time getting back into the swing of things, you don't want to injure yourself. I think that you will be amazed by how fast your strength jumps in just a few short weeks.:)
 
I've been lifting 17 years, and have never taken that much time off. I'd either have to paralyzed, incarcerated, or dead. I'd go crazy. The most time I've taken off was like 2 weeks. For injury more than likely. I'll pass on your dare brother.
 
slobber, damn I'm stupid some times. why the fuck didn't I think of that Kg instead of lbs. thanks for pointing it out, I'm sure you are correct.
 
no it was lbs,until I got help from Needsize and alltraps I was horrible at deads, I ended up pinching a nerve in my back which had me screwed up for months. but I am back with correct form and I concentrate more on form than the weight,I am 185 btw at 13%

you mean 170 and 205 kilograms correct??
 
It's about time you got that LAME ASS of yours back to the gym!! Now quit your freakin' whinning and move some iron!!! Besides you never benched more than 225 anyway! :)

High test levels in Boss jr. ehh?? Does he have a rattle shaped like a dumbell?? Give the little guy a squeeze for me and T.

I took some time off to work on my book. That went south so I went back to the gym the next morning. My wife and I are expecting a new baby (our first) in March. She swears that I won't have time for the gym, but I think it'll all work out for the best.

Try almost a year.......boy's let me tell you don't ever do that, I am getting back in the groove again but in the beginning was hell, I was weak as water, but it's coming back real fast.
 
Fuck that shit, I've been out of 4-5 day a week training for 6 weeks now and things have fallen to shit, I can't imagine it past that.

170lbs and 205lbs not kg unfortunatly ,but like I said I was a mess on deads until I got instruction
