I can't stop spending money

someone explain to me how I can stop buying things.....it seems money just burns a hole in my pocket. I would really like to learn how to be a cheapskate.


a couple weeks ago, it was a $300 phone, and some clothes, and I don't even know what else....

now, I'm eyeing up a new bicycle.....and a laptop.

I know what you mean. I wanted a laptop so I figure be smart and get a nice used PIII for a few hundred...ended up with a 1400$ vaio instead...I do try to save money all the time, it helps minimize the splurging losses. But spending money does feel good.

I don't know about that Nav, seems like I spend more money on the web than I do out in Malls etc. I get stuff way cheaper. For instance I just bought a brand new Armani suit for $389 off ebay new and never altered. People that like to spend will spend on the net, malls etc. They need to learn to control their behavior or live within their means.

I love to spend money. I can never have cash. I am dangerous. What has helped me is getting an AMEX. My husband and I share it. It just scares you into stopping, cause you know that the bill has to be paid at the end of the month, no ifs, ands or buts.
