Some dude just came in and bought a 2003 Navigator from me for $36,900, and he paid cash. Right, right......usually no biggie, as cash is described when someone uses a cashier's check.

Not this guy he paid in $100's, $20's, $10's, and more $5's than I have ever seen at one time. 4,910 to be exact........what the hell.

I'm seriously thinking of telling this dude no, as my finance girl is still working with him.

I really need to learn how to incorporate more than one quote into a response.....so I don't post so many damn times....

The worry is just general in nature. I'm sure it wasn't taxed, unless he's an ethical dealer, and imposing taxes on his $5 rocks. A fellow dealer lost a car this way a few years back, due to the money being marked in a drug deal, so the govt. got his money and the car.

This deal was brokered before I got in this morning, so there was bit of shock when I saw over 4,000 $5 bills in my finance girls office.


At any rate, I sent the dude packing. I have had many people come in and buy $5,000 cars with $100 bills, no biggie, but I would need a hefty bag to make this deposit.

I use to see millions everyday when I worked for Brinks, servicing ATM machines. I carried bags of cash with hunreds of thousands of dollars. We had as much as 20 million on a truck, maybe more.
