Do SUV's pollute the atmosphere more than smartcars?

We expect to be having a truckload of kids in the next little while so a smartcar was out. :lmao:

Yes I did, but buying 6 smart cars woudn't work. So I used a mathamatical calculation factoring the use of materials, fuel consumption, emissions and the impact on having underage drivers operate a small motor vehicle.

I determined one huge veehickle trumped 6 small ones.

The 105 bucks to fill the tank every 378 miles is a small price to pay for safety and that darn American manufacturing genious afterall we live in a free country where the deer and the antelope roam. Where seldom is heard a conservative word while driving their hummer all day.

they already replaced it when there was too much dust on the dash rob.

I've put a lot of miles on that car. It has served me well. I like it. No reason to trade it in. Besides my girls will be old enough to drive soon by that time it will be good for them to learn to drive. Shit my parents got me a Chevy Impala that I had to share with my freaking brother. It was the same make and model as the cabs in NYC. That car was a freaking boat! I needed a sofa cushion and a phone book to sit on just to see above the steering wheel. LOL

I hope my girls will appreciate getting *my old car* to learn to drive. :lmao:

I'll get a new one then.

This way head cheese will be mad jealous and we can move all the peeps around.

But I would have to consider the ecological ramifications carefully before making this decision

I must admit. I was feeling all tingly in my naughty parts. :lmao:

He got the ride for our kids.... Everything my husband does is for OUR FAMILY. <---- that = real man. Especially because he has bent over backwards and sacrificed for kids he didn't make. If I live to be a thousand I would still struggle to repay that kind of courage, strength and unconditional love.

I've said it a thousand times but I don't mind repeating this:

My first husband was a lesson. My last husband is a gift.

I don't want to use the word envy, because that's a sin in my religion. But you and BM have the closest thing to a perfect marriage. :)

I admire you guys.

Thank you for saying that but our marriage is FAR from perfect. We are just too damned stubborn to give up. :)

Marriage is like a garden. You have to tend to it a little bit each day. Then your garden will flourish. If you ignore it, everything that you once held dear will die.

Perfect is what we all want to have. I just remain honest and loyal. Anyone else really makes no difference to us. All the people that post or lately PM shit about us really have nothing to do with our real life. You can call anytime.

Life is great for those that wish to make it so!

That's a nice usage of a simile :)

I understand what it takes to fight for a marriage to survive believe me. My willingness to fight for what I love is the only reason I'm still married, at times when we have reached several very high and sturdy walls. A few on EF have said some really nice words to me in my times of trials and tribulations with my marriage. I love my wife more than anything and I've changed a great deal for her and to be able to keep this marriage. We come from two completely different worlds.

I agree with what you're saying. Dirt off your shoulder.

Life can be cruel to you sometimes and you have to do what it takes to make it work, and you don't need haters....haters are just people who envy what you have because they don't have it themselves, but wish that they did.

You're an established man with a beautiful, loving wife and a good life. Fuck the haters. They are not worth the words being typed on my screen.

Just remember to tend to your garden. At the end of your day, regardless of what fruit it bears, or how fragrant/stunning the flowers, how much shade the trees bring.... or lack thereof at least YOU KNOW you tried your best. When this is the case, you will never feel empty.

You may feel saddened if it didn't work out or you may feel satisfaction when you sit back and admire the fruits of your labor, but you won't feel empty either way.

It goes both ways though and this is what makes marriage tricky.

VixenBabe said it best on here once. She has been married for many years and her marriage is still happy and flourishing. She said, "We just both never fell out of love at the same time."

I don't know about the love part. But I certainly understand the notion of at least ONE party fighting for the both. I am not ashamed to admit that if it were not for my husband's tenacity I would have given up on us and myself and LIFE. <---- another debt I hope that I will be able to repay. :)

that was so sweet I got 3 cavities just from reading it

I love VixenBabe's quote. It really personifies my relationship with my wife at numerous instances. I have yet to learn a lot about being mature in a marriage and there is a long road ahead of me, as I'm only 24, but isn't marriage an experience in itself?

Fortunately, one of us is always fighting for our marriage, sanity and love.

I like my car. It makes me happy and as I said, my girls will be needing a car to learn to drive in so unless something majorly changes between now and then I will keep the old girl. I mean, it was a Valentine's present so it has a bit of "emotional" attachment for me... the nicest car I've ever owned. He bought it for me because he wanted me to feel like a princess. I still feel like a million dollars everytime I sit behind the wheel.

The XKR in red metallic is on order. TheXF looks like a toyota, BMW, lexus, Honda but with chrome side panels and a cat in the rear. BUT the Black convertible top is not to her liking. So might be a couple more months. I have no idea why she doesn't lke that one. We are gonna keep the S type great car.
