I.b.s

New member
I just got diagnosed with irritable bowl syndrome about a year ago, but before that I was struggling with symptoms for about 2 years off and on. I have done one steroid cycle of test-e in the past and used to work out like a beast. My condition has really put a damper on working out, the energy is just not there anymore.

I was just wondering if there are any good bro's out there with the same condition. If so I would appreciate any tips on how to get this monkey off my back so I can get back to training.

oh ya im 32 yrs old
6,2 185lbs used to be 205 before i.b.s

digestive advantage IBS helps with symptoms tremendously but you have to figure out what triggers it for you (spicy food, greasy food, high fat food, high protein, anxiety, stress)

you can pick the stuff up at walgreens..or order it from the walgreens website

most everyone that has IBS swears by it

I used to eat six times/day including a-lot of supps but I found these only aggravated my symptoms. here is an eg of my diet to date.

5:45am 2 pieces of rye toast with mint and lemmon grass tea
9:00am 2 eggs 2 probiotic lactose free yogurt 1 apple
12:00pm usually leftovers from night before so... meat potatoe and veg
6:00pm Meat potatoe or rice veg.

Thanks for the advice so far.

1. how did u get diagnosed with it?
2. did u get several opinions from specialists?
3. what were your original symptoms?

the only reason i ask these questions is cause we see too many times people get diagnosed with something from a general practitioner or even a specialist, and then later you will find out that either they were correct HOWEVER you have other problems that are the cause of your symtoms, or they were flat out wrong and just guessing.

having gone through a stomach ailment for 12 years of my life and being given every diagnosis known to man from lactose intolerance, to acid reflux, to allergies, to IBS, to being overweight or underweight..
also my X went through back problems for years, after being given every drug under the sun and nothing helping finally a 7th doctor was able to diagnose her correctly and she had her spleen removed which solved the problem.

i have little trust that doctors are able to diagnosis a common cold, much less something complex like IBS accurately. i believe most people suffer from stomach ailments and it has a lot to do with the food we are putting in our bodies, or what we drink, or drugs we take, or yes AAS, or anti-biotics past abuse (docs hand them out like candy)_

you should definately get some pro-biotics and use cleansing green tea.. that will help alleviate stomach issues

thats really true...

my husband was diagnosed with IBS post Iraq...he got on the digestive advantage and it cleared up totally (and it was really really bad before) and it cleared up pretty much entirely after about a month
I can only conclude the dysentery he and his entire unit contracted (amoebas) was not entirely cured
the idea grosses me out but IBS doesn't usually go away

the other side of the coin was his seemed triggered by anxiety...and he was pretty high anxiety when he came back

I have had a colonscopy done I have seen 3 different doctors who all agreed on the I.B.S diagnoses. I also do not put a-lot of faith in doctors, they seem far to eager to label me with I.B.S without doing enough testing. One of the gastric oncologist's that I seen diagnosed me by only hearing what I had to say...what a tard! So far I have had more help from my natural health and wellness doc, and people like yourselves.

I do not get symptoms every meal I used to be really bad when it all started. I have found many foods that bother me like- chocolate is #1 potatoe chips #2(home made does not bother me)#3 pasta.

My symptoms began when I was working out of town living out of a motel room. There was nothing else for me to do so I joined a gym in the area and worked out in my spare time. My diet at the time was not all that great considering I only had a microwave in my room. I purchased some super pump from the local popeyes, it worked great for the first week but then I developed insomnia and severe constipation followed by weight loss fatigue and deppression, the deppression came from the inability to remain active. I was like this for about a half a year until I began figuring out what foods bother me the most.

I will give the digestive advantage a try Shirlene.
Thanx again

i am gonna check out digestive advantage as well, from what i've read its got Ganeden BC30 which is supposed to really help you digest a lot of stuff bodybuilders eat and for me I eat so freaking much i need all the help i can get. i don't have your intense problems OP but i do beleive something like this is a good idea to run every now and then for everyone who eats as much as we eat

NTBM sells a good pro biotic as well, i take 3 caps before bed, not every night.. but here and there.. i think it helps replace the good bacteria in the stomach and balance things out and i've had good results with it.

this is what doctors drop the ball on, giving people drugs instead of pro-biotics.. oh well there isn't a profit in that so they choose to give people 'tests' like guinea pigs to run up your insurance bills then throw you on pills. its outrageous
