It is a true story of these South Florida teens that had a little clique of their own. The ringleader of that clique was a sadistic bully, raping the females and making his best friend do all kind of nasty stuff like gay stripping and beating him. They decided to kill this prick and recruited someone else to help them make their plans. In the days of sex, alcohol and drug fueled numbness, and general stupidity, they did not plan their alibis or shit correctly and the very next day, their crime started to crumble because of their own mouths.
Granted, the guy deserved to die.. but they were not saints themselves. You watch it and you see and feel the despair of teenagers that are passing into adulthood with no eduaction, no hopes, no dreams, no goals, nothing. They just drift day by day doing nothing for themselves... a perfect example of someone living their life just to die.
The one girl who didn't have a hand in the crime got 8 years (that was with a plea bargain), the fat kid who only helped move the body got 11 years (another plea bargain for ratting on his friends), one girl got 40 years, the stoner, the sly bitch, and the mafia kid got life in prison, the best friend got the death penalty... though I am not sure if he has been executed yet.
If you watch this movie, you will praise the lord you had the insight to do something with yourself and not get caught up in a crowd like this.
