I left Atlanta and stopped by Highlands, NC for the night. This has always been a favorite place of mine. Funny how you go back to a place and associate it with someone from your past and think back about that person. In a way it felt different being here by myself.

So what kind of trouble has Richmond got to offer?

Yeah, I am escaping Ft. Lauderdale for a while. From here it is on to DC and then NYC, I may head over the line to Canada as well.

go to the Shockoe Slip.... it's a cool place downtown w/ cobblestone streets that is loaded w/ nice art galleries, fine dinning, and bars.....

I thought "the Fan" was pretty cool. but I'm not sure if that's your thing or not.

Well I can say that it is "different". Don't think I will be staying here long. The arts and culture scene, while not world class still has some potential. Especially compared to some of the towns I have already seen on this trip.
