This bears repeating. I disagree that this is junior high stuff; unfortunately, it happens all too often in relationships. But I don't think it's salvageable- not to the extent that they would regain anywhere near the same feeling they had before. It would be tainted. Better in the long run to leave it behind.

I'll repeat, I think this is junior high shit. Yep, peoples feelings get hurt. Yep, there is even an inocent little kid stuck in the middle of the whole mess. Yep, this shit happens all to often in "grown up's" relationships. The point is its not grown up behavior. You may feel different, but when I became a man I gave up childish bullshit.

I really mean no offense to the parties involved. I wish you well and hope all is settled soon. But I think you'd benifit by reflecting on what is important in this world - before you pull the junior high fucking bullshit you regret later.
