I am considering doing a cycle, but need good guidance.

It would be my first...so what advice do you have and what should I read? How safe is what you're suggesting in terms of health?

A bit about myself. I'm 5'11, 317lbs., fairly well built but fat. I have a few injuries with my main issue being shoulders. Trained too damn hard young and dumb... Been off and on for the past 15 years or so. Mainly off. I've been back for about a month and a half. I train light for my size and use concentrated reps. I do 30-60 minutes of cardio 5x a week. Basically if I were well defined I'd probably be 215-230lbs solid as is. My main goal is simply to lose the fat and once again improve my build. I am naturally very thick.

I've been considering HGH but know little and need help with that. Any help and or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey gene, welcome to Elite.
Now so you dont get yourself banned first thing we do not ask for sources on here. You need to read the rules section.
I can empathize with your shoulder injuries, as Im fighting the same.
I am guessing that you eat pretty much whatever you want and that will need to change. There are a ton of diets in the diet section on here. But one of the first things you need to do diet wise right now is to learn what a clean diet is, that can also be found right on here.

The second thing you need to do diet wise is eat 6-8 times per day. Now I am snot aying eat more food cuz you dont wanna do that. What you need to do is even cut down the calories, but eat every 2-3 hours. The reason that you want to do this is cuz that will boost up your metabolism quickly and safely.

I am very happy that you are not wanting to do a cutting cycle right now cuz it would not do you any good.

As for the HGH, really you are not ready for that right now. When you get some of that weight off of you then you could consider that.

There is a boatload of excellent info on here about clean dieting, structured diets, workouts, etc and HGH when that time comes.
The very most important thing that with the biggest impact is to get your diet squared away. That will do more for you at your body fat % then any drugs or cardio, however cardio is still an excellent tool for you to use.

Also for right now you should be doing lighter weights at higher reps. This is to get your body, joints and connective tissues ready for and accoustomed to bearing the stress of working out.

The mods on here are all gr8 peeps and will help you out if you ask them so dont be afraid to do so.

Thanks for the reply. I do have a much improved diet underway, but I will look into that here. I never did junk it up to be honest. I just over ate and sat around jobless for 2 years. I actually gained 1 1/2lbs. my first month back with doing a good diet/cardio program. Obviously that was muscle filling back in. Now I've lost 2 1/2lbs. which should continue. I actually posted because I thought HGH helped lose fat and rebuild joints? This is why you ask first I guess. I'm just in a hurry to improve my life and for the first time it has me considering drugs to help do so. Fuck 2+ years of treadmill if I can avoid or lessen that.

You are correct about HGH BUT there is a lot of information that you need to learn before you start messing around with your bodies chemistry. I will tell you bro there are even bros on here that have done cycles and have a pretty good knowledge of how these chemicals work and they still get into trouble.
The best that you can do for yourself is to educate yourself by reading everything that you can about what you think you want to do, and ask questions on here.

I and probably most everybody else on here will agree with the part that I underlined on that quote. And you can do it in considerably less then 2 years. I think you would be happily surprized at how fast you can loose that extra bf with diet, proper workout and cardio.
 
No roids, youre to fat. Lose 100 pounds minimum and get healthy before you even think about it.

I'll continue that route for awhile and see how it goes. I almost have the muscle size I want anyway. Things have gone well thus far with appearance improvements. Thanks for your time.
 
Too fat? lol. I see powerlifters 3x as fat as I look. I look about 260lbs. If I lost 100lbs. I'd have to lose muscle as well as fat.

you said you were fat yourself. I highly doubt you look 260 at your weight and height. If someone says they are 5'11" and 317 but fat, I would say to forget roids and drop the pounds. why dont you throw up some pics so we can get a better idea of if you are ronnie coleman or the fridge.
