I almost couldn't believe it.

It was an explosive, yet serene moment. I had fire inside me, but I could not have been more calm. Alone. Not a soul within 20 feet of me. People minding their own business, working out whatever they are working out. I don't know, or care. I had my own business, right at my feet. Set after set, the weight came up, almost effortlessly. And then, it was time. It was finally time. It was time for my moment. It was time to exact revenge, on what had once humbled me not long ago. I knelt down, grasped the rough knurling I had grown to love. Stretched my hips quickly. Inhaled. Exhaled. Inhaled. Exhaled. Slowly. Repeatedly. Then, with nothing else on my mind, except for the want, the NEED, to humble what had done the same to me, I lifted it up slowly. Locking out, I let out a grunt. A grunt of victory over my enemy. My friends of Elite, I deadlifted 405 tonight. PR set. Goal set. Vengeance mine.

welcome to the light weights my friend:D been stuck in the 400's and I dont see myself getting out anytime soon lol.

Three things to consider......warm up with 225....275...and then jump to the heavy shit......no repping out with 315....

Also.....do hyperextensions at least once a week until failure.....I know it's unsolicited advice....but deadlifting is my bag baby....;)

FromZero - welcome to the manhood...... BOY

Pitbull, whats the reason for failure on hyperextension.. just for recovery?

pitbullstl, how much is the deadlift in your bag?

We'll see how badly this injury has hurt me (torn lat), previous records are 745 in the gym, and 705 in a meet...and yeah Rev...for recovery, and endurance.....the endurance training for deads should be done with little or no weight, and hyper's

Pitbull how did you train your deadlift... what did you rotate them with in your training?

up until this year, it was hammies and deads, now I dead on back day, pullup's, deads, one arm rows, seated rows, rear delts (dumbells) and hypers.....in that order

from looking at you, everything is your bag you freak lol. yeah bro, I try to keep my reps pretty low with the light weight warming up. but once I get up to about 450 or so, my form gets shitty fast. my back is my weak point, and I'v been out of the gym for almost 2 months now, I think once i get back into the whole roidtine again these will smooth out. what's your best pull, 7? 8?
