to give reach arounds

wood an fMRI depict the same neuroplastiscity demonstrated in a concert violinist

with an analogous spread of the somatosensory region associated with the fingers of the hand which move about the neck of the instrument playing notes, as opposed to those of the other hand, which merely holds the bow

Most likely knot, because a reach around would be:

1) Most likely of insufficient duration to achieve classic Hebbian-style learning

2) Most likely of insufficient spatial specificity to force sensory neurons to develop differential responses in areas so closely mapped onto the neocortex.

3) Most likely missing the tight somatosensory feedback loop that would be achieved with training in the violin.

Just sayin'
