Hypoglycemia

The Bigdawg

New member
Some blood work I had done shows that I have non diabetic hypoglycemia and was wondering if anyone else has had this or has this and what they do.

Its common with diabetics but not so common with those who don't.

I am used to being on very low carbs this time of year to lean out and now I have to change this in order to keep my blood sugar levels from getting to low. It sucks majorly as my body and carbs dont get along very well and I wanna lean out to my normal summer weight.

Have a appt coming up with an endocrinologist to determine the cause of this.

Moderate HG
I'll hit bottom so bad that my hands will shake for a number of reasons,
no pattern.

Choose very LOW Glycemic Carbs
Stop drinking if you do
Keep snacks like cheese crackers handy at all times and also a small
high glucose drink for those really bad attacks.

Yea I know the shaking thing and can feel this shit coming on.

most my carbs have alway been low GI
i rarely drink

I don't do the things or eat the things normally associated with this.

Will be getting some glucose tabs to carry around that way I know exactly how many carbs I am taking in still.

I edited my post to reflect the need for LOW GI foods.
My bad,, must be low blood sugar :)

Eating mostly HI Glycymic index foods may be your issue.
Mention that the the Endo.

The faster the glucose hits your bloodstream, the harder it is for your
pancreas to manage it, so it just dumps away with the insulin. MY GUESS

Lower GI foods will break down into glucose much slower and enter the
bloodstream slower and allow your pancreas and body to keep a more steady level.

This was my problem, eating too many refined and simple carbs, and usually I can trace back an attack to sugary cereal in the morning etc,
my blood glucose spiking and then bottoming out like 2 hours later..

BD, have you tried rala, (gluco.. from the af store? ) i put my granny on it she's got the same issues and so far so good.

I have used Rala and still had the affects, they are worse when not using it, but still there. Have started using it again last night.
