Hushmail and Windows Vista

Anyone else in the forum having issues connecting to hush with windows vista ?? I cant seem to find the problem, but cant get my email since upgrading to vista.

Sees the java, launches it, and I checked with sun and it advised I have the latest release installed, no errors, it just hangs and trys forever.... I still think it's related to the java and vista running in protected mode etc....I've tried about every setting and cant get it running,pissing me off, but there are lots of other stuff that doesn't work on vista that did on XP. Any idea on ports to explicitly allow in vista's firewall ?? Even though I have disabled it and it still doesnt work......

Is vista implementing a pop-up blocker that may be preventing the download of the hush encryption engine? I'd try adding hushmail to your trusted sites list in the security tab of IE7.

Try another browser like Opera or FireFox. Since IE is pretty much a parasite on the Windows kernel, you have plenty of issues to tackle that are obviously not documented as of yet in their bugtrack.

got my hushmail open with vista right now bro, no problems at all. If you did an in place "upgrade" from XP i would first uninstall Java from teh add/remove programs. Then go to java.com and reinstall it, should work just fine

Hey Indy... Ever since I upgraded to IE7, not Vista, I cannot log into Hotmail. I use Firefox (on the same PC) and it works fine. Try downloading and using FF. Its a solid browser.

FYI EVERYONE, it's the certificate the vista wont accept for whatever reason. I have not got an "upgrade" to work on any of my pc's yet, worst microsoft uprade I have seen

Oh yea, Home Premium and Ultimate on other pc's, none of them are taking the upgrades without error, and 2 of the laptops are new and came "vista ready" 2 pc's are "vista ready" media pc's on my plasma's and my home office pc is still dead in the water, wont even recover back to XP, I'll try the firefox and see what happens, in the meantime I am on my spare laptop just to get email from hush, thank goodness I hadn't sold this one yet after buying my wife a new one for Christmas. It's pretty, but never had so many issues and I engineer this crap for a living.........it's technology like this that got me motivated to get back on test and in the gym instead of the lab

Damn FireFox does not work on my Vista PC's either. Hush Encryption Engine cannot load, that's the issue.

can't really tell ya what the problem is since I havent messed with vista that much
Since you upgraded your XP license ended and your XP OS is long gone
Advice-install Vista on a seperate partition or harddrive. Keeping your fully functioning XP OS. When you boot up your machine you can choose to boot from vista or xp.

No, 32 and my media center edition pc's finished updating today, so I have tried all my vista's pc's none of them will load the hush encryption engine, grab an xp pc and no issues at all. it will have to surface soon I am sure....
