yeah the universe is fucking incredible. think about your life in comparison. 70-80 years out of billions of years on this tiny rock amidst infinite space and somewhere around 10^22 stars, most of which have planets. it's pretty amazing that by pure chance life began on this planet out of all of them and evolved into conscious beings. and if the universe was without these beings, it would also be without emotion or language, or so many other human constructs which we can't imagine living without.
