How to reduce huge pores??

ColdCut

New member
Im the only one in my family, actually out of all my friends, to have visible pores on my nose........

it wasnt like this as a kid......i had great skin but the teenage years fuxored it all up. I had lots of pimples (maybe acne) and generally lots of cloged pores.

i sometimes still get small pimples, but my nose is always oily and clogged.

What is known for reducing pore size??? the neutragena crap only works for the first 1/2 hour after washing ur face, then what?

masks. kiehls makes some great ones.

Theres a mask product by Anthony for Men. You can get it at Sephora. Works really well.

Good luck!

Yeah but is there an answer.. I know lots of companiesmake lots of things.. But whats needed? better toner..? etc?

go to a GOOD dermatologist. they can help you with whatever you desire. and they will work with you to find something that will help. trust me. you will get the best results by doing this.

I have gone to dermetologists and all they do is prescribe accutane or antibiotics or retinoids which only work while your taking them. Stop taking it andacne will come back worse then before and in new places...

i'm sorry dr0832, but i disagree with your post. accutane WORKS. but i doubt that this is what coldcut needs in the first place. i doubt that antibiotics would be beneficial at all either. and your post doesn't make any sense concerning retinoids either. many people are on retinoids for LIFE. that is (many times) how they are prescribed. they are great for the skin, and should be taken permanently. they help significantly. even my dermatologist uses retin-a micro (and WILL keep using retin-a for the rest of her life - she told me this herself). so my advice would still be to go to a good derm!

ps - who do you think knows more? a dermatologist who's spent years in their field? or skin "gurus" surfing the "style, fashion and grooming" board on EF? trust me man, pm me sometime, you need to consult a good dermatologist. trust me PLEASE. you won't regret it.

My fathers a good derm buddy. I have also been to a few of the top derms in the country. I have taken accutane twice and acne went away and came back in new places. Have you even taken accutane? I have also taken probably every rx medicine you can name. Retinoids work but you can't put retinoids on your back when you have 100+ zits and they will not make acne go away permanently. nothing will unless your genetics allow it. Retin-a micro as well as tazorac or the rest of em work for some people and not for others. For me personally they just dry the shit out of my skin and cause more acne because of over active oil glands. Please don't act like you know this shit. You were asking for advice a few months ago about controlling acne. And I am not a skin guru. I was merely saying that derms can't really help and I do have expereince with all this shit because I have had bad acne for 9 years. If someone wanted to invent something to cure acne it would have been invented already, but the drug companies make millions and even billions of dollars on all this sub par shit like retin-a and there not gonna offer a drug that cures acne completely because then they will be put out of business.

first off, you're not my buddy. also, you CAN put retinoids on your back if you have someone else do it for you each night. its not the most difficult thing in the world to accomplish, dumbass. and since i got back on retinoids and STAYED on retinoids my skin has cleared up so dramatically in the past two months it is insane. i'm not saying it would work for everyone, but i guarantee you it will work for many. and no, i have never taken accutane, but many of my friends have and so has my little brother. it did WONDERS and kept acne off for years (not forever, but YEARS). and furthermore, i have been on shit-tons of different acne rx meds as well, so don't act all high and mighty. the main point of my earlier post was that it is much smarter to consult a good derm who will work with you rather than order a bunch of expensive "masks and toners" over the net. thats my rant.
