how the the heat affect you?

well, not so much heat, but humidity. today was crazy hot and humid where i workout. but because of this, my energy level was through the roof. i was sweating like a pig, it was great!

i benched, squatted, and did deads... my body wasn't responding at the end, but i'm still full of energy.

happens all the time in the heat.

how does the heat affect you?

Weird that your energy level would be raised by humidity. Humidity fucks up your body's ability to cool itself...usually leading to dehydration and whatnot.

I hate temperature extremes, I like when it's mild out and I can work up a nice sweat and make myself hot...rather than the heat being forced on me by fucking mother nature.;)

you must be burning up there in toronto :P

Heat usually tires me quit a bit before I even start working out...

Yeah today was a bad day in Toronto relative to the previous few days. I just toured the U of T gym, nice & cheap place (the lifting room has no A/C though :(). I lifted a bit & I just felt nauseus. But of course I got off work late and I had no food since 12. Felt nasty...not to mention I was in pants/t shirt in the gym because I didn't bring gym gear.

I don't like the extremes either. Not for lifting. For any type of grappling or sparring, I enjoy the warmer weather. I don't know why. Swimming in the heat kicks ass. :p

I only love the cold when I'm going for brisk midnight or mid-morning hikes. Don't know why yet. I was just always a Winter baby.

I'd rather when it is too cold than too hot and humid

Heat and humidity make me feel lethargic => shitty workout

well not so much today's humidity. today was real shitty out.

the_red_dragon, my high school's weight room is around the 100sq ft with no ventillation, enoguh space for a few bikes and a bench, as well as a set of dbs. that's it. :p

i do work well in 20ish degrees with light breeze. yumm... good sweat = good workout

I get tired faster and I hate sweat in my eyes during my runs.
I would take 40-50 degress F, year round

man, that's cold... i wouldn't be able to warm up properly.

thing is on a nice day it's like i'm already warmed up, i don't need a warmup lol

the heat kills my appetite so I will be finishing bulking in mid-late june so july and august arent hell

Im force feeding now if I did that in the wicked heat id barf
