To open up a Boxing Gym?

Im talking to a co-worker yesterday and we start talking boxing, Ive been interested in taking and he was attending at a local Gym here for about the last 4 or 5 months (at the most). He ask me if i know any kids that want to Join (the first ten are free,... blah blah) so I'm like wow thats cool where is this Gym at?

Then he tells me hes gonna open his own Gym and start teaching classes..... WTF. He's expecting his license this week and will start operations in the next month, even applied and was approved for some government funding.

Keep in mind.... this guy only took classes for at most five months and wants to teach young kids and adults how to Box. Is it really that damn easy to open up shop and put people at risk... I mean come on we are not talking about knitting here.

Yes, it's that easy. That's why you always check references of past clients. If you do your homework, the most you'll lose is time, don't and you will lose time, money, and possibly injured.

Its really even worse because at present he is training one of his employees/friends to go and box at some in another state in a few months. When he told me this I was like... wtf are you thinking.

He doesn't have ANY fighting background besides the few months he took and now he thinks hes Golden Gloves champion

My aunt's ex-bf's son was/is a trainer and he had been boxing since he was 13. Was at least 20 before he even considered training.

LOL.... I've never had the pleasure of watching him train but I did see some pics and he has a horrible stance Jaw wide ass open... he's gonna get nailed one day.

If I had to wager any money on it, I'd put down 10 to 1 odds he'd would see stars on the first Jab. that connected

clients should always find out who they are learning from, credentials, etc....
