How soon should you eat after doing cardio?

If you're not too concerned with preserving muscle, and REALLY concerned with burning the most fat...I'd hold off for a little bit...maybe a half hour.

This way you can let the blood circulate in the muscles and use the post-exercise increase in metabolic rate to burn some cals. Then when you eat later, you'll get the thermic effect of food, which will keep your metabolic rate higher than normal, for longer than normal.

I eat while doing cardio. I prefer a banna, an orange, and maybe a prot shake too.

I've ordered pizza just before I got on the treadmill before so that it would be there at the gym (delivered) when I got done.

On every Thursday...after I train back, biceps, inclines and close grips....I will spend 15 minutes walking as fast as possible on the treadmill followed by 10 minutes of very high intensity riding on the bicycle.

I'm not doing it to lose body fat at all, I'm doing it to increase my body's capacity to tolerate the lactic acid in my legs from intense medleys, to increase my body's ability to recover between events, to be in better cardio shape, and to be a little more healthy. I just have to add extra food for this.

If you only goal is to lose fat wait at least 1 hour before eating (proteins)
