i love a deeep dark dark dark tan.
but only in the summer ; I dont tan year round. I also wear sunscreen ; it does not keep you from a nice dark tan ; it just keeps you from turning red. Plus it helps with freckles. I hate freckles. Basically sun damage.

B/c of the ozone, they predict in less than 20 yrs, the UV index will be at 20. Now a high index is 8.
Black have the highest incidence of skin cancer. Why? Cause they don't think they need sunscreen. True fact!
In 30 yrs, over 76% of the population will get skin cancer.
All skin cancer damage is done b4 the age of 18, then appears in the late 20's to late 40's.

redguru said:Ever since the chloroflourcarbon ban the hole in thyeozone layer has decreased in size, There are annual fluctuations due to solar cycles but the problem does seem to be decreasing. However, the ban does not affect third world countries which could be a setback in the future as they industrialize.
wiki said:For example, although increased UVB has been shown to constitute a melanoma risk, it has been difficult for statistical studies to establish a direct link between ozone depletion and increased rates of melanoma. Although melanomas did increase significantly during the period 1970–1990, it is difficult to separate reliably the effect of ozone depletion from the effect of changes in lifestyle factors
