How often do you dry clean your suits?

Once a week? Or once every two weeks? I tend to go for the really expensive and unique suits. Well come on, 50 weeks of the year (52 minus 2 weeks vacation), 5 days out of them 50 i am going to be wearing a suit so damn i'm sure going to make an effort to look good. Gucci, Armani, boss etc and i really don't want them to start fading sooner than necessary. I was thinking once every 2 weeks?

I would try not to clean them that often. Do you wait until they have visible stains or do you sweat often enough that they need more cleaning? Depending on how many you have, you may be able to put off cleaning for at least once every few months.

To be honest, I rarely ever sweat and tend not to stain them in any way. What about trousers? If its a full piece suit then you would really need to dry clean both, and preferably together. If not the trousers may out fade the blazer, right?

^Yep that's true. You can't risk fading the separates unequally. If you do, it could end up looking like a black jacket with dark grey slacks or vice versa... bad news.

For most guys, once per season or about every 10 wearings is the guideline. Personally, I don't wear my suits very often, so I don't usually dry clean them unless I spill something on em or they get smoke stench from a party.

Pants and jacket MUST get cleaned at the same time or one will be discolored. Also invest in cedar hangers. They a bit bigger so you will not get the shoulder nipples and the cedar will elliminate all odors.

During the summer almost every 2-3 wears, - walking in the city you sweat way more than you need to -

during the winter I get about 5-6 wears from each suit. I wear T shirts under my dress shirts, and cotton boxers, so the inside stays pretty clean - its me eating and drinking which causes the problems.

I wear suits everyday. My rule is clean them when they are dirty or the slacks are showing creases from wearing them. You must clean them together. I also make it a point to have the jacket with me at all times. Many guys have suits, usually wear the jacket seldom, clean them together and still get them slightly off color. The reason is that if you wear your slacks, but not the jacket, the sun will still fade the material of the slacks faster than the fading in the jacket. So keep them together. Wear the jacket out to lunch, whatever. I probably get about 4-5 wearings out of a cleaning before I think that the slacks are creased enough to send them in. I hate to iron. Shirts get one use and then they go in. Undershirt or not. I have to wear an undershirt due to sweat. I just don't like creased shirts. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Masterdutch I think that is basically a good rule of thumb to follow. And considering summer is going to be a scorcher this year in the uk.
