How much vacation do you get?

here in iceland we get 4 1/2 weeks paid. What do you get in your country?

I lucked out this year and opted to take all my overtime as paid vacation, so next summer I get 2 months. Pretty crazy.

I get 2 weeks. Then misc. days off when I need them.

I only work 4 days a week, so I don't complain.

The company that I work for gives me 240 hours, but that includes holidays, and company scheduled days. I usually end up with 3-4 weeks to schedule at my convenience.

26 days of annual leave (vacation)...........with carefull use of 3 day weekends (and a lil' bit of sick leave) i can get 7 weeks a year.

I work in social services, so I get 4 weeks paid vacation, 12 sick days per year ( these accumulate), 2 personal days per year and also we are off from december 24th until january 5th every year paid not to mention all the usual holidays are paid too. too bad i dont have a decent salary or this job would be da bomb!~!

Sounds like here, i get 24 sick days a year that accumlate. These come in handy for mental health days and golf games and beach days.

I very rarely get sick so gotta use them for something.

That is great that you can take your overtime as vacation. Normally we could and last year I had 10 weeks off but with project work they make us take money until it is done

We give our Associates 2 weeks, Sr. Associates 3 weeks, and Directors 3 weeks. This is pretty typical of US businesses.

I don't "earn" vacation - I take what I need - but that ends up being very little, since work demands are so great.

none...one of the perks of being a contractor. i've taken no personal days off in over a year and have only taken off when we're forced to(i.e. holidays). it's expensive as hell to have a day off. being laid off for 5 months last year makes me not even blink an eye at this though.

I have like 4 weeks a year or 20 days a year and I only used about 15 the last three years. These days are paid days off for any reason: personal, vacation, sick, etc...Dont ask me why I didn't use all days. Typically it means because we are too busy to take off. Besides, being busy means bigger bonuses bigger raises etc, so I dont mind working.
