how much time to prepare

there's a meet i'm thinking about entering at the end of july but i'm not ready for it and i'm not sure if i could be by then. how long do you take to prepare for a meet? i'm thinking about just working hard for the next 4 weeks and entering for the helluvit but i'm not sure if i should waste my time if i'm going to bomb.

not enough time..you need at least 8-10 weeks if you know what you are doing..

if you dont mind going to the meet and just benching whatever number and youre not putting pressure on yourself to do X weight then go for it

thats what i'm thinking i might do. no pressure for a PR, just go and see how i do i think.
I can't remember if its a bench meet or a push/pull but i might just bench anyway.
