So yesterday we were having trouble with a network app so I rebooted the server which obviously disconnects everyone for about 10 minutes. Woman comes in today and she's got nothing on her monitor, mouse isn't working, etc. I tell her the problem has long been fixed and nobody's computer was affected by anything. She thinks out loud to herself....I shut my computer down....She says to me "you mean when I shut down my computer it actually turns off?". hello?

We had a CONTRACTOR for a bank which my company has a direct connection with. I'm telling him which router commands to run. I tell him to run a show configuration command and he looks at me like what? So I tell him to type in sh "space" config. He types in the word space. He was supposed to be their expert!!

Oh god...people are so fuckin stupid when it comes to computers. mostly the baby boomer age and older people.

I worked for a company guiding people through adding computers to their in-store network for a summer.....god it was so frustrating. I would spend hours trying to fix a problem and come to find out they just didn't bother to plug their network cable into the jack...or people who didn't understand the concept of windows. Like I would say "close this window" and they wouldn't know what I was talking about
