How much strength will I lose???

Basketball season started last week, and put my weight training on hold. The season lasts until late Feb, lots of heavy cardio.

I only expect to be doing some upper body maintenance stuff about once a week and no lower body/back stuff because I dont wanna burn myself out.

Keep in mind that I just turned 18, Im 6'5" 230.
 
whatever you lose will come back quickly when the weights become your priority again. Have fun in bball man and dont sweat any strength loss

allright, thanks alot. last year i lost about 15 pounds on all lifts, but i didnt lift as seriously as i have been this past year. i hope i dont lose like 40 pounds this time ????
 
im also in basketball season in juco.. I've kept my diet right and havent been lifting for a month or so just playing basketball and all I see so far is just fat loss
I was a really fat and outta shape when I started out and now im at a point where I kinda can see my abs

before I started practicing in september I was 230lbs(with some fat) now Im 210 with decent bf%

so I think it greatly depends on your diet

oh and we dont fuck around either, pretty damn long ass practices with lots of sprints at the end for conditioning.

Im gonna start lifining a little and see what happens...

P.S I did go to the gym yesteryda to do legs and got a little weaker but oh well, it;ll come back
