How much is to much

I have taken the whole summer off from work. Well starting July 4th till Sept. I now have about 10 hours more each day to fill. So I figure every morning I will get up go to the gym and do cardio. Then fill my day doing other things and then go back to the gym later on and do weight training 4 nights a week and do cardio the other 3 nights. I want to really get in the best shape possible. Is that to much working out?

I now can get as much sleep as my body needs and have time to make proper food.
I am 21, 5'9 and 150lbs. My best weight was 165. I have been weight training for 2 years now on and off. And I am used to working a physical job all day long, which I now don't have to do. I have as much time as I need to work out

:)
Will that be to much? should I change anything? Any comment would be appreciated
Thanks

I am going for really lean, no fat and not to bulky
I do have a couple pounds of fat I want to get rid of too, to be really lean

Don't do the cardio. Do HST. Eat lots of food. Watch yourself grow. In a year with proper eating you could be at least 170 and leaner than you currently are.

I can respect your desire to lose fat, but do you really want to be 145 pounds? Heck no, go for the mass.

I second this. If you're 5'9" and 150, you shouldnt have to worry about gaining fat. It sounds like your metabolism is pretty high.

check out some bulking diets and maybe some of the training stickies on the top of the board.

best of luck!

Right, what I mean is you'll probably look more muscular at 165 and 10% bodyfat than you will at 145 with 5% and you'll be more athletic to boot.

A lot of guys don't realize how much bigger they want to be. I have a friend that's 5'9", and about 150-160. He pointed to a picture in a muscle mag telling me that he wants to look like that, not too big, maybe gain 15 lbs. I told him that the model was easily 200 lbs at that height, with probably 7% bodyfat.

what casual said. :)

I just gained about 15 pounds and see almost no difference. Go for some mass, man - you can always cut after you get a bit bigger.

Thanks eveyone
So if I cut out cardio how often should I be doing weight training
What kind of program would work well for me?

Check out the training methods sticky at the top...However, I highly suggest the 5x5. Also remember, diet is most important. Eat eat and eat....just when you think you ate enough...eat more.
