I was reading on here.. some post says that to lose weight you should consume somewhere around 12-15 calories per pound of body weight and 15-18 calories per pound to maintain the weight your at. I'm currently 250lbs 6'2" bf?? For me that is saying that in order for me to lose weight I need to intake around 3000-3750 calories and to maintain i need approx. 3750-4500. It might just be me, but that really seems like alot of calories a day for me to try and lose fat. Is this really necessary? I have a hard time coming to the realization that i need to eat so much more food to try and lose weight, it just doesnt make sense. It seems like i eat aroun 2000 calories or so and always manage to gain rather than lose.

here is an example of my last 2 days of eating. let me know if I'm way off on what i need to start doing? please any advice would be great. I'm not trying to get super skinny or really cut, I just want to try and lose my lower abdominal fat.

Well cheeseburgers and sloppy Joes are not gonna help rid you of lower abdominal fat thats for damn sure.

Its all about CLEAN food while you DIET.

Where's the healthy carbs and lean meats?
You need some oats and chicken and like foods in there for starters.
Figure out what your BMI is and subtract a couple hundred cals if you want to cut.

lol I forgot to mention that I am not in a prime location for choosing the proper meals. I can't grocery shop here and I get pretty much what they serve. funny thing is that cheeseburger and sloppy joe is probably the better options to choose from. I can get chicken and oatmeal, but how much of those should i really eat throughout the day?

where is a good BMI calculator. according to the one I found on the web with my height and weight I am overly obese. That doesn't quite seem to be the case though, unless my view is sorely misguided.

Your BMI, is obvioulsy not 100% accurate, it does not account for BF%.
It is only a good starting point that can be adjusted for each individual.
