definately get it checked out (which it seems like your finally going to do)
Let me tell you a story..
In my long time on this earth(15 years) i've had a few injuries.
One was a strained hamstring tendon(where it connect to the glutes. I couldnt run, walk, jump, have fun.. i even had trouble sitting down. But my stubborn ass decided that instead of re-habbing it, i was going to play football and score myself my first touch down ever. And i did. But at what expense? At the expense of not being able to train legs for 4 months, limping for 4 months, being in constant pain. So i turned what could have been a simple 1-2 month rehab into something that was twice as long.
Also another time, i was bouncing on my trampoline, landed wrong, and pinched a nerve in my back. I thought nothing of it. Then 2 days later i couldnt bend over. And what did my stupid ass do? I went back and boucned on the trampoline and made it worse. Well long story short, i couldnt perform my normal activities for 2 full weeks, and had my self barely doing my normal stuff after a full month.
And finally, my last story....
I was at a friends b-day party, and im always the trampoline guy (bouncing and flipping) so he had a 14 ft trampoline (the round ones) and i decided i would just sac up and try the double back flip. well i rotated too slow on my first flip and landed on my neck . That resulted in the scariest time of my life, and not being able to turn my neck fully for 2 weeks(only partially). I didnt do a single thing to rehb, i just let it heal by its self. Im sure if i would have tried to fix it myself, i would've been better in less than a week.
Moral of the stories is that you should be smart, and rehab your injuries. I didnt rehab mine and i lost almost half a year of training to it (most of this occured as i was just starting).
Good luck man.
