This is true when I came on to this company I was out of work and didn't feel like I was in a good postion to negotiate. I was in fight or flight mod and my ass was not moving back with my parents hellz to the no.

When I got my promotion last August again I should have negotiated better but I didn't cause I just wanted to get off the shity vendor line I was on, bad call on my part. I had to do both jobs until about October when they found my replacement for the shity line.

My review this year I knocked that shit out the park and end up getting a good amount above company standard for my bump this year. It's about half of what I got for my promotion last August.

I am working on killing it again this year so if I can keep it up another 10ish year I might be at a salary I find acceptable. LOL

I do over all really like where I work they offer somethings that are better than money for the most part it's a good work life balance which is a trade off for more $$$$

Good stuff on your evaluation! you should note that your company already recognizes that you are a great addition to the company by a stellar review. It sucks you had to do all that work when you got promoted, I would've asked to be compensated for the extra work somehow(assistant, additional raise, bonus, paid vacation, ect.) Try to find out how company's pay/salary system works, budget, financial status, that kind of stuff. Maybe they don't have set dates when yearly salaries, bonuses and that stuff is determined and you can go and see about getting those numbers to look better on pay check.

Do you know how much co-workers in your position are getting or you could do a search and see how much you should get paid for someone in your location, position, and experience.

I think women have depressed sense of entitlement. traditionally, we do all these hard jobs that have low pay. We have shittier reward systems than men partly because of our gender roles, be more nurturing and seeing to the needs of others before our own which can get overwhelming because the self reward system takes a backseat. probably should start recognizing our own hard work, and have better reward system for ourselves, which leads to more more confidence, higher standards, and probably more accomplishments that way.

My last job in marketing, I made a list of things I wanted and went to my boss. I went in there, smiled, all friendly and good natured self and asked for what I wanted. I was prepared to negotiate but he just said ok. I changed positions in company because i thought it would be good to get experience in different area, got paid time off, got another raise, got to travel more, they even offered to pay for my schooling if I wanted to get certain certifications a few days later.
