How much arm size for every 10lbs gained

benj

New member
I'm on sust 250 and deca and have gained 17 lbs in 6 weeks but have only put 1 1/2 inches on my arms 16 3/4 now. For those who have measured there arms throughout their cycle and gained at least 30lbs please post how much your arms went up weightwise and the leght of cycle. I've put good size in every body part but arms are my genetic weakness I guess. My goal is an 18.5 inch arm at a height of 5'10.

Weight and size are not the predominant factor in muscle strength. While a big mucsle has the ability to get stronger than a smaller muscle there are many factors to strength. Mainly muscle insetion points(genetics) and your bodies stage of CNS involvement. We actually use a small portion of our available muscle fibers and when we do often times CNS synchronization is not up to snuff and firing haphazardly reducing overall strength.

I'm taking about weght put on bodyweight. Your response has nothing to do with the question I asked:rolleyes: Anybody else

1 1/2 inches with a 17 lb gain is good bro. it tells you that the weight is going to the right places. i myself had a 20 lb gain, but my arms only gained about 3/4 inches to 18 1/4 - my arms are stubborn. the rest of my gains went to chest shoulders and traps.

i've read somewhere that 1 inch on the arms for every 10 lbs gain in bodyweight is good.

Yeah exactly, how dare you Zyg!

Benj not only are you a freakin' moron, you're also a rude prick.

Btw, he did answer your question, but I guess it's a little too complicated for you; so here's a summary: weight is not proportional to muscle size. If proportional is too complicated a word for you, you can replace it with "equal" in the sentence.

The best way to determine true growth is about 6wks after your cycle to see if that was muscular growth or water retention

charels poliquin says about every 15lbs. of muscle you gain you will put an inch on your arms. This is for someone of average height so if your taller you would have to put on more weight and if your shorter you would need less.

BigAndy 69 if you reread his post you will see that he was speaking of weight and size in relation to strength. I didn't need a discertation of what strength is . My post clearly shows my concern with arm Size based on total "bodyweightgain" ;) .

The answer you seek is just as elusive as the old "how much willI gain if I cycle this and that?". You can add 20lbs on your cycle and virtually no size to your ams. Your question is loaded and so was my answer. :)
