How much are oil companies making?

Not sure if taxing them would be the right thing to do. The first thing that would happen is Congress would vote in another payraise for themselves and then 50 million other issues would come up (except gas prices) such as the poor kids in Africa and a new trip to the moon.

I suspect shit is going to hit the fan sometime soon. That's why I own lots of guns.

After congress tore the oil company CEO's a new asshole, one complained that his yearly salary was "Only $17 million" That excludes his stock options, which I'm sure is another $5-10 million. Mind you, the AVERAGE salary for the oil company CEO is $37 million annualy. Plus stocks, some of these guys make 60 million dollars a year. Fuck those pricks. What they are doing is absolutely wrong and unethical and I hope they burn in hell for making poor families skip meals to pay for gas to go to work the next day. Sick bastards don't give a damn about this country or anyone in it.

How much do congressman make a year? How much do they make on the side?

wrong and unethical? lol. providing a product that no one seems to want to cut back on it's use.

Forget it. Not worth my time.

It's like believing the President is in charge and muslims are peaceful.

I am curious why oil company ceos have to answer to congress for profits and salary, when the govt took 46% of their profits and doesn't answer to anyone.

It's not illegal to make a profit. It's what created this country.

Fat Stupid Americans are not a charity so they have enough money to buy weed and alcohol.

46%.

Who are the douchebags now?

You people make me laugh blaming the oilfield.
If I remember correctly, in their testimony before congress they were taking in .04 cents on every gallon of gas, down from .07 cents a year ago.

I was quoting an answer in this thread.

People will believe whatever they wish. Most have no clue what it takes to even drill a shallow well.

I've read the US has massive amounts of shale oil but it isn't cost effective to tap. That was a few years ago, I wonder if $135.00 a barrel oil makes it cost effective.

It was cost effective at $64/bbl java. The enviros are trying to block us again and now want to shut down Piceance basin for 3 months a year lol.

I find the energy policy annoying. I remember growing up in the early eighties, right after the last oil crunch, and oil drilling in Ohio was huge.
