What's really funny is that I had this romanticized naivete about relationships when I was young. I wanted to find a girl and just be with her the rest of my life. Well, my first real girlfriend really did a number on me... she cheated around and basically made me look foolish. Maybe I was too nice... I did everything for her and treated her like a queen... after that I didn't give a fuck. I went on a sexual terror and I realized the more aloof and distant I acted the more they sought after me. It really sucks how the whole relationship scene will break you down. It takes a while to get that pure feeling back.

Now I have a girl who is just as jaded as me (in a good way)... and we get a long pretty well.
