There are some knowlegeable people that claim:

a) Clomid does nothing except for possibly postpone HTPA supression/crash and may even make recovery take longer than it would naturaly.

b) HCG does not benefit HTPA recovery it only restores testicular mass. An anti-e like Nolvadex simply prevents aromatization

I am interested to know how many people do not use pharmaceuticals in their PCT. This does not include the likes of maca, avina sativa etc. Maybe mention if you do these and anything else other than changing routine and diet.

Just remember, it's difficult to substantiate a claim that your recovery is better because you use pharmaceuticals, you would have to have have multiple efforts to compare to when they were not used and even then there are other factors as supposedly recovery varies.

Also, if you are a strong proponent of pharmaceuticals for recovery and have any good research findings to support your arguments that would be much appreciated!

One thing I do know is that a lot of older guys I know that have juiced have never even heard of these things.... When did they become popular for pro's?

Thanks!

there is no doubt that clomid helps to restore one's own test production (if the testes respond to LH of course, taking clomid after a deca only cycle is useless) but the average guy won't notice much of a difference if test levels return to normal a couple of days sooner than later. if you have low test you also have low estrogen and blocking that low amount of estrogen does not make that much difference. it works better in females because they produce estrogen on their own while males only make it through aromatase of testosterone.
in my view if you can get it / afford it, take it (nolva and clom that is), if not, use a long lasting test as your last shot and let nature take its course from there. and maybe use a 10mg dose of dbol for a couple of weeks pct.

Clomid/nolva (and hcg possibly) for pct are my weapons of choice.

I personally would never use herbals only. I feel they don't work nearly as good as clomid/nolva.

Worthwhile herbs may be, but I wouldn't structure a PCT arround them,

Is there anything wrong with not using clomid or nolva after a var only cycle (6 weeks)? What I mean is even though var is suppressive wouldn't it just take a little longer to recover. Do your nuts shrivel up like raisins when they stop producing test on such a short cycle of var? Would the 6 oxo stuff of any use. I know theres probably some of you that take heavy doses of gear, gram+ a day and it makes sense to use this stuff.

I like a mixture of all 3. HCG + nolv, followed by 2-3 wks of clomid...
my research...
personal experience...

you can't know if you are recovered w/out blood tests, but you can kind of tell. Plus young guys like me (22) recover quicker than older guys (40+)...on average.

How long is recovery from an anavar cycle take. Say 6 weeks at 25mg a day for a young person 21 on average. Without clomid HCG or nolvadex?

i have found that i recover just as fast w/o clomid.i just came off a 9 mo cycle that included sust, deca, fina, prop and 3-4 weeks post cycle i was 110%. i had my balls back sex drive back with minimal strength/weight loss.
