How Many Black People are in Positions of Power?

Besides the token blacks like Colin Powell (who just like most of the black people that were given power in the early days is very light-skinned), Condoleezza Rice and Rod Paige?

After those seats were given away to token minorities (albeit well-qualified candidates), there is not many blacks in position of power ESPECIALLY in the Republican party.

My question is; Why are there black people not represented equally (in respect to their ratio in the total population)?

I think if you're well qualified, then you're obvioulsy not a 'token.'

It seems most blacks with power are only out to further the cause of blacks, not the whole population. Jackson, Sharpton and the like.

I take offense as I believe this post is racist and anti-white with its insinuations. I feel it is in violation of the T.O.S. and should be deleted.....

Insuating that Colin Powell is the "token black" in the White House could be the dumbest thing I've seen you type... or very close... He has more than earned his position, and even though I'm not a Bush supporter per se, I don't believe that he is a "token" anything. He is where he is because he's a smart motherfucker, period...

And political power is the most overwhelming.

Corporate power only has a tiny fraction with a balck leader (i.e. Merrill Lynch).
