How many 8 wk cycles/yr?

For those of you who run traditional 8-10 wk cycles, I'm just wondering how many cycles you run a year and how much time you take off in between. I plan to do two cycles this year, but I'm curious whether most people do a lot more than that.

Well for me time on=time off

I usually run 2, 12 week cycles, but you could get in 3, 8 week cycles if you follow the golden rule above.

I wonder which one will produce better results in the long run?

Thier probably isnt much difference.

time on = time off. i do not follow this rule and many others dont.

Thanks, guys. I never understood time on=time off, because if you are taking clomid and other stuff during 'time off', I'm not sure that counts as off. That's why even with 8 wk cycles, I don't thnk I can get in more than 2/year. I guess extending the cycles to 12 weeks might be a good option, but I always feel like I stop making gains around week 7, anyway, so I'm not sure that would work for me. Anwyay, thanks again for the input.

I have done 2 10 week and one 12 week cycle in the last year and I have recovered just fine. Just had my bloodwork done and it was sparkling clean and I am 30, so who knows! Most pros stay on year round.

the general rule is time off=time off everything....... but some dont count clomid as being on...it isnt a steroid but i count it in my time on vs off. If you can run two 8-10 weekers youre fine.

8 wk cycles? 6.5 per yr
10 wk cycles? 5 per yr

6.5 8-week cycles means you are on all year, and 5 10-week cycles means you take an average of 1-2 days off between cycles. No offense, but those aren't traditional cycles, that's just being on all year.

That's really interesting. It sounds like you are only taking 1-2 months off between cycles (which means time off < time on), but I thought for sure you'd have trouble with that kind of schedule.

What drugs do you usually do? I heard that deca and some long-acting test esters stay in your system for almost 1-2 months after you come off. Do you find that your natural test is still suppressed while you are off? Do you have trouble holding onto your gains while off? Do you take clomid/nolva/hcg while off? thanks.

I think the amount of time off should be however long it takes your natural test levels to return to normal plus 6 or so weeks to give your body a break.

Just so happens to be that that is close to "time on=time off"

I completely agree with the first part, but if you do an 8 week cycle that means you think itonly takes 2 weeks for your natural test levels to come back (2wks to restore natural test + 6 week break =8wks total) I just did a deca cycle, and I think it is taking me a lot longer than 2 weeks to get my natural test back :(

the time on=time off is more for disciplinary reasons, so you don't become over dependent on AAS. I can see myself doing a 10-12 week summer cycle and maybe, maybe an 8 week winter bulk cycle, all in moderate dosages. I'm a strong believer in working hard and using a little juice rather than compensate laziness with over-usage. Just my opinion.

very true. when on the sauce i'm encouraged to workout harder than ever so that i can maximize the most out of those 8-10 weeks.
