Fuck the waiting period. If you get a fresh number all ways call on a Thursday to see if their availible to do something during the weekend. Even if it was on a Wednesday call that Thursday. If it was a Thursday, then either ask them what they're doing for the weekend while your getting the number or wait a whole week.

I've incorporated this as well, but not always. Hell, sometimes I want to go out on a weekday, anyway. Sometimes they already have plans by Thursday.
