I mean if I didn't workout for 8-12 months or longer would it still remember and how long would one have to lift again before cycling? just curious

As far as i've learned muscle memory lasts along time. What happens when you stop training is the muscle cell deflates so to speak. Creating new muscle cells is the hard part but when we create them they're there for good. After a long lay off those deflated muscles cells fill out again with training. That is why it seems like we gain so quickly when we come back.
Again..another hypothesis.:)

yeah but how long should i lift before my cycle? been liftin for 3 weeks already but still get sore ;)

You should always be a little sore a day or 2 after the gym, if youre not that means youre not training hard enough.

I'd wait till you hit a plateau...not a minor one you can work through but a major one which doesn't respond to diet, rest, training manipulation. At that point, you'll be ready for some enhancement should you choose to do so. 3 months might be a good ballpark figure to shoot for.

thats a lie

BatGirl, before you think about cycling make sure you have every other area covered as far as your diet and training is concerned.
Have you ever did steroids before? And how long have you been training?

Hyperplasia in humans, or "cell splitting" is still only speculation. As of yet, there is no conclusive evidence this occurs in humans.

dont worry batgirl just get in there and bang it out in 1 month youll make more progress than when you first started.

I can't remember:p

FYI, "muscle memory" is a different physiological concept than what you are trying to ask here. You're really asking about muscle atrophy(actual cells). Muscle memory is a more complicated concept related to functionality and physiology among other things. Just thought I'd throw that in there :p

There is no way I think anyone should go staright to a cycle after lifting only 3 wekks after a long break.

I agree with AD wait till you hit a plateau then hit a cycle and burst right through it! That way youll maximise your gains by gaining some muscle/losing fat naturally, then jsut keep on growing when you hit that cycle.

UglyASS :D
