How is estrogen produced in women?

Us guys convert either Endo or Exo Test into estrogen via the Testes. How do you women produce Test and Estrogen?

Is it that the ovaries produce testosterone but a LARGE amount gets converted into estrogen? Is that the way?

Testosterone (and estrogen, estrodrol, and all those other fun hormones) come from progesterone. Progesterone primarily comes from an egg (it is made in a couple of other locations in the body, but in very miniscule quantities), ovaries are NOT like testes, they're more like ... egg cartons, they don't make anything. ANYWAY, pregnonolone makes progesterone, and progesterone makes testosterone, estrogen, and estradol.
