Im not sure if youre asking what he knows or what he Teaches . But Hes been known to go off to the Boxing Gyms and Spar with , well , everyone . I believe that he has a 2Dan in judo from the Kodokan , he speaks Japanese , so I believe it , hes also supposed to have a Dan Rank (not sure wich one) from a Japanese Karate school . Its also known that he trained in Catch with Andre the Giant , and George Steele . He alkso spent quite some time studying TKD as a kid , appearantly , and Dabbled some in Muay Thai .
But what he will TELL you is that "I didnt leanrn anything REALLY GOOD Till I was forty , and came to New York !"
And he dosent teach any of those things , with the exception of showing how to Counter this or that thing here and there , when a Student asks OR to show a Slacking student what _____ Style will do to eat them alive if theyre Dropping their Guards , or Missing their Mark with their Stances , etc. . He DOES have an Understanding of the Dangers of other systems , and NEVER "Puts Down" anythign , hes always saying things like "you cant go to a Wrestler like that unless youre planning a Nap ! Theyre Too POWERFUL that way !" , etc. .
He teaches ... well his Teaching is kind of Random . We work on things from the Internal Chinese Systems of Taijiquan , Baguazhang , and Xingyiquan . He sticks to a system for a number of weeks , then shifts to something else . But theres a Rythym to it , it makes a kind of sense because the Focuses all go togtether , and he Teaches what he feels is most Accessable to the Student , and what theyre ready for . Its truly Blended , though , theres nothign Choppyu about his Methods , Im just not eloquent enough to explain how well it goes together .
