How, GHB, GBL and 1,4 are processed by the body

This is when someone becomes a 24/7 user not recreationally, not starting a argument just a good read for the fellas. Many don’t know or understand how the body processes GHB, its analogs, and the differences in the process. So this might shed a little knowldge.

I will start with GHB taken on an empty stomach:

Pretty much as soon as you drink it, it activates Dopamine release and most people feel a rush of energy seconds after intake. Once GHB enters your stomach, it starts to get absorbed and more Dopamine is released. The person starts to feel energetic and starts to become more talkative. In about 15 minutes after ingestion, the Dopamine release is pretty strong and now the brain starts to release Serotonin. At this point the person is energetic but starts to feel relaxed and euphoric.

About a half hour into this process, Dopamine release starts to get suppressed but not the creation of it and this is how Dopamine gets built up. Now at the same time, more Serotonin is being released and the GHB starts to enter the Liver, where most of it is converted into an Amino Acid called "GABA" (gamma-amino butyric acid). GABA binds to the GABA receptors in the brain which is part of the sleep process. Now as time after ingestion passes one hour, Dopamine release is extremely suppressed, Serotonin release is very high, and GABA is really high. To make a long story short, its knock out time.

Now let me backup a bit. About a half hour into the process, the body starts to crave nutrients because certain nutrients are needed in the GABA conversion, GHB breakdown process, as well as for the Pituitary gland growth hormone creation. Through time you deplete your body of Vitamins, Minerals, and your Pituitary glands is extremely over worked. The combination creates a situation where through time, barely any growth hormone is created. Also, 10% of carbohydrates are turned into Tryptophan which the body then uses to create its Serotonin supply. Since GHB activates Serotonin release, it also depletes your brain of Serotonin. The person then starts to crave foods and if any food is eaten while GHB is still in your stomach, then the GHB will be pushed into the Liver, therefore will create more GABA, and you will get knocked out sooner. Also, people tend to crave carbohydrates when they are using GHB because of the Serotonin deficiency. This is the reason why so many of you find that you’re eating more sugar then usual. 5-HTP or even better L-Tryptophan, will help bring back your Serotonin levels.

Now the person is knocked out and Dopamine release is extremely suppressed. About 4 to 5 hours into the sleep, the Dopamine storage is all of a sudden opened and the person awakens with a jolt of energy. This was at one time misinterpreted as one of the rejuvenating qualities of GHB but all it is, is a Dopamine rush. Now at this point if the person decides to take another dose to go back to sleep then guess what? All of that stored up Dopamine that is finally being released is now suppressed again, and more Dopamine builds up.

GBL taken on an empty stomach:

The enzymes in your saliva will start to convert GBL into GHB as soon as it enters your mouth. The conversion still continues in the stomach but is mainly done when it enters the Liver. Once it enters the Liver, it is first turned into GHB and then very rapidly into GABA. Since most of the conversion process happens within the liver, more GABA is created then with the GHB assimilation process. Also, Dopamine release suppression and the release of Serotonin, are much higher and therefore the knockout is stronger. The deeper you sleep, the more the Dopamine release is suppressed and therefore Dopamine rebound is much stronger.

GBL is very quickly assimilated and leaves the body much faster then GHB so there is more of a tendency to use it often, so as to calm the Dopamine rebound. But with GBL and BD there is another aspect added to the addiction which makes quitting much harder. This needs some serious attention (but some here will insist that all forms of GHB are the same) and now there are finally studies being done to better understand the addiction to BD and GBL. I will post more of the info that I have and once more information comes in.

Since your liver uses the same means to brake down GBL as it breaks down alcohol, you will get many of the same depletions as you would from using alcohol. And as with both, Insulin is created as a byproduct of the process.

Even though GBL leaves your body quickly, it also can really irritate you digestive track. To contrary belief, GBL toxicity is very high and it would create a lot more problems if it didn’t leave the body as quickly as it does.

BD taken on an empty stomach:

BD is actually a form of alcohol and as alcohol, the assimilation process starts only when it enters the Liver. And yes Trinka, you will urinate GHB no matter which form you use but with BD you will also urinate something else, BD. BD is still found within the body 24 to 48 hours after ingestion. This is probably the reason why it gives such horrible muscle cramps and muscle spasms that seem to continue even years after quitting. Through time, your muscle tissues (as well as the rest of your body) is saturated with BD. It is then slowly released and re circulated throughout the body until it is completely broken down. But BD is never completely assimilated into GHB and whatever is left over, creates the other side of the withdrawal. GBL also has similar properties as BD and therefore is also not completely assimilated, but there is no GBL found within the body after a few hours of ingestion.

Since BD saturates your cells, it is also a logical conclusion that your Kidneys will have to work very hard to purify your blood. This maybe the reason why prolonged BD use will cause permanent Kidney damage.

Toxicity of BD is extremely high and therefore is very dangerous. It is labeled as the "Dirty sister of GHB" and for very good reasons.

WRONG! Do a little research, GBL and BDO are broken down in two entirely different pathways. GBL is not processed by the liver in the same way as alcohol, BDO is. You can read about this at this site and many others:

good post, i agree with most, especially 1,4 being the "dirty sister" everyone should at least STAY AWAY from that shit

bigdelt, some use for deep sleep and say that it will increase growth hormone levels due to being in a deeper state of sleep, i just use it to party on because responsible usage of it is safer and less toxic in my oppinion thand drinking and doing other drugs
