To my complete disgust, my bodyfat calipers put me at around 15%....which is odd, as my waist isn't that big and I can see my abs. It seems a summer full of BBQ's and free beer has caught up with me. :(

I'm reasonably sure I'll be down to single digits by X-mas though.

Did anyone else get fat this summer without realizing it? lol Damn, that blubber just sneaks up on ya. :D
 
nah i spent all summer trying to gain muscle.. i do think i'm slightly leaner but i'm not really much more muscled, esp since i haven't really been lifting recently..
 
I have (as Bruce Willis's gf in Pulp Fiction says...) "a pot" It only really became noticeable these last 10 lbs or so. T'ain't no biggie, I have metabolism like a Jackrabbit on speed so it'll be gone in no time. I just have to get the guts to go on a cutting cycle.

I feel ya, dieting is hard to be strict with during the school year for me, plus I drink like a mofo when I go out. I don't care though, once I hit my cutting cycle in the next few months Ill be good to go. Just no point in cutting up right now, its almost winter

strength has gone down a lilttle but not too bad thankfully :xeye:
 
First of all, a big "Fuck you" to those with a fast metabolisim. :D

I'm not used to getting fat without noticing it. I mean, I was really fat a few years ago...so I usually keep an eye on the 'ol belly. Oh well...diet time.

And on that note, I'm off to Red Lobster. No point in starting a diet today anyway... :D

lol that stuff repulses me... my roommate eats that, kraft dinner, frozen pizzas, frozen chicken fingers and fries, and hot dogs... just yucky.
 
I love Hamburger Helper...if I could post a pic..I would show you my latest meal. 6lbs of hamburger and 2 boxes of hamburger helper. Lasted 2 days...almost.

i have one scanned but

a) it was done during cadets aged 18 so i feel a bit silly giving out pics of me in an army uniform as i never really earnt the reight to wear one

b) i wasnt working out so i look 135lbs :(

c) i have cam cream on my face....not that it makes much diffence as it was virtually the sam colour as my face :)

still if you want it ill dig it out :)

k i just digged it out and you cant even see my face its so dark with cam cream.....or at least thats what they told me it was...

I would guess about 9%.

Whatever my bf is in my pics I posted, it's probably a couple percent less now. I just dropped it w/o trying, just went from 7000 cals per day down to a measly 5500. :^)

WELL lifitng weights won't make you look like a guy!! Heck I lift heavy and have been for quite some time and I still don't have muscles that remotely resemble a guy. Just ask Smalls she'll vouch for me. It can make you more shapely though and that is not a bad thing.

Seriously, the 'look like men' statement is probably one of the worst you can make on here.

The majority of us are serious weight trainers, and take great offense to the absolutely FALSE stereotypes that are abound among the general population about our sport...

It is extremely difficult for most everyone to gain muscle, particularly women, most sedentary people have no idea how hard it truly is.

Therefore they assume that anyone who picks up a weight will get huge.

Absolutely false, especially regarding women. Muscles dont happen overnight, it's very easy to control the level of your muscular developement.

In fact, if I were to bet you, if you started working out, you'd find yourself struggling for anyway possible to put on more muscle, so you could look hard and toned, which is, trust me, a VERY attractive trait for a woman to have.

Don't take offense to Frackal....he is having a hard time right now and we who have been her a while understand why. He had his heart ripped out. We love him though he can get cranky. What he and Radar said about weightlifting is so right. Go to the women's board and look around you will learn alot there.

That is true kitkat. I know you're a good woman, I know there are good women out there. Sometimes we dont know everythign about a woman or a situation either you know?

I am just frustrated is all. A few of my best friends are women, I just enjoy taking out my frustrations on this forum. :^)

By the BF calipers I am around 7.5%, however if you go by one of those websites that are suppose to figure your body fat I am either -.3% (?) or 18%. (I think those sites are bullshit.) Starting a new 10 week cutting cycle on Monday. My goal is to complete my "six-pack" because right now it is only a four-pack. But I am getting there!!

My body fat I'm not sure of---but Its around 21% or so

Now that it is winter the gym is DEAD!! I LOVE IT!!

I still workout 6 days a week, only missed one workout this year because I was really sick...

Eat clean six days a week with out fail with a free day every sunday :)

I'm so dedicated----I hope I can stay this way for a very long time:angel:

Bi-Chick----believe me, lifting weights makes you feel so much better, and tighter.

I'm getting pretty heavy with my weights too---using 30 pound dumbbell's and by next year hopefully 35's.

But I look NOTHING like a guy. I love feeling strong. I see girls using 5 pound weights all the time just flinging the weight around, and its almost funny---its like "raise the weight honey!!"

Just my 2 cents.....
 
The gym is dead now, but wait till after new years when everybody makes a resolution to get fit!!!

That will be just about the time I go looking for a new gym when i move to montreal

I found it by doing searches on yahoo for info on nutrition and training
 
There is no way you could ever look like a guy unless you started pumping loads of test into your body, if you like being skinny though, thats fine as long as your happy with it. Do what you want to do

Smalls----I'm crazy dedicated! I watch my diet so close. But I'm not lucky like you, I have a fat metabolism---I really have to be careful of what I eat if I want to lose fat :( and even then, my fat loss is slow---but better slow then nothing at all!

i'm thinking of getting a set of free weights to keep at home...

I reckon you could say that I'm fatter than a hedgehog. That's why I came here, cuz I wanted to loose some weight. One of my cuosins sez I should ask them muscle fellers, seein' as how they're big but also they ain't got no fat.

Looks like i'm gonna have to go up there and straighten your fanny out!!!! Smalls if you're not going to the gym what makes you think buying weights will change anything. I work for the public and everyday i'm at some customers home and in the corner is a solorflex,treadmill,abcruncher..etc gathering dust. It sounds like a good idea but most give up because1- don't have enough time...2- boring!!!.....3- its too much effort!!! Believe me commit to a gym and stick with it before buying anything!!!! RADAR

August 15, 2001 - 324lbs @ 40%

October 22, 2001 - 269 @ 29%

Goal for end of Feb 2002 235 @ <20%

I'm a lard ass by any definition but working on it. But at 40 years old, I squat 500+ (1RM) and bench 300+(1RM). I have been out of the gym and porking out for the last two years till August 15. I went from 220 @ <15% upto the 324. I have been as high as 345 @ about 47%. Y'all don't know what FAT is.
